Kari's background and experience includes:
Ø Taught Advanced Systems Analysis and Design and Information Systems for Management at Rensselaer Institute of Technology. The first an in-depth technical course, the second a survey course. Student evaluations were above average for her courses.
Ø Reported to the Executive Vice President of a large Consumer Goods company, oversaw the project management and functional integration activities of the executive team responsible for North American Strategic Assessment implementation. The project resulted in substantial cost savings through the combination of back office functions for three operating companies as well as the strategic restructuring of sales and marketing.
Ø Created a high performing Information Systems team, which partnered with the business to deliver quality information systems quickly, by emphasizing the value of team diversity, benefits of consistent communication, opportunities for employee recognition and the need to invest in people development.
Ø For a global insurance company’s Information Technology department, prepared annual budget and associated management presentations, including headcount, operating budget, and capital budget. In addition, facilitated ongoing budget analysis practices and defined ongoing budget management processes, including actual to budget reporting and monthly budget updates. Recruited full-time replacement to perform role on an ongoing basis.
Ø For a major fleet credit card provider, developed a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the outsourced development of a strategic e-commerce web site. Advised client regarding RFP content, including effective communication of requirements, instructions to bidders, terms and conditions, and proposal evaluation process.
